He was predeceased by: his parents, Will G. Templeton and Myrtle Belle Templeton (Slagley); his stepson Allan Couch; his grandson Jaxson Steele; and his siblings, Benny Burns Templeton, Eugene Templeton, Jewell Washam, Lucille Gay, Hazel House and Lois Tompkins.
He is survived by: his wife Amelia Silvia Templeton (Dabila); his children, Ronnie Templeton (Lavonne) of Swifton, Steven Templeton (Becky) of Newport, Michael Templeton (Donna) of Tuckerman and Tammy Foster (Jimmy) of Southside; his siblings, Larry Templeton (Linda) of Swifton and Dana Fay Templeton of Swifton; his niece Judy Tompkins; and his great-nephew Michael Wonzong. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
