He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke, Sr. and Goldie (Crossland); his granddaughter Morgan Cassandra "Cassie" Slagley; and his siblings, Luke Decker, Jr., Carthel Decker, Chris Decker, Gerald Tate, Tominzine Herring, Thalia Funches, Loretta Jo Brinsfield, Eva Joiner, Athalee Kirker and Joan Dunivan.
He is survived by: his spouse Miss Virginia Lou Huskey; his children, Lavelle Decker of Jonesboro, Anthony Decker (Dena) of Swifton and Starla Slagley (Paul) of Cash; his sisters, Lanelle Franks and Becky Davidson; and his grandchildren, Lesley Decker, Courtney Decker, Bryson Decker and Jonathan Decker. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and extended family; and a lifetime of friends.
