He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Woodrow and Mary Magdelene Melton (Sanders); his wife Janie Louise Melton (Gentry); his daughter Connie Brock; and his siblings, Dean Sanders and Regenia Ann Cagle.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Shown (Gwen) of Swifton, Kristy Holt of Swifton, Debbie Parks (John) of Swifton, Sharon Wood (Tim) of Swifton and Natasha Midgett (Rick) of Swifton; and his siblings, Larry Melton of Tuckerman, Ulala Haines (Alfred) of Bono and Gloria Ann Barnhill of Bald Knob. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
Due to COVID-19 mandates, masks and social distancing are required for all visitations and funeral services.
