It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hugh James Winkler of Summers, Arkansas, born in Morrow, Arkansas, who passed away on September 26, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Eugene and Bessie Alice Winkler (Griffin); his siblings, Homer, Willis, Bobby, Jim, Paul, Frankie Winkler, Azalea Brodrick and Annie Winkler; his son Richard Winkler; his son-in-law Butch Tucker; his grandson Casey Winkler; and his great grandchild Murdock Jenkins.
He is survived by: his wife Enda Mae Fowler Winkler; his children, Eddie Winkler (Jennifer) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Evanna Tucker of Wichita and Alice Hymer (Mingo) of Lubbock, Texas; and his brother Floyd Winkler (Brenda) of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
