He is survived by: his sisters, Maggie Smith and Barbara Kay Jones; his children, Vicky Oates Roberts, Karen Jean Johnson, Felicia Thompson (Raymond), Pervise Oates, Doug Oates and Victor Oates; and his siblings, Linda Coleman, Elfreda Virjena Henry (Sylvester), Kirks Oates (Frankie), Cletus Oates, Jack Oates (Linda), Tom Oates (Lena), Danny Oates (Bonnie), Emmitt Oates and Gale Oates (Charlene). He is also survived by Grandchildren, one Great-Grandchild, other family and friends.
