She was predeceased by: her parents, Dallas Carter and Lillian Carter; her siblings, Gloriazel, Dallas, Armstead, Flanders, Achillers, Bessemer, Ressemer and Clyde; her husbands, Judge Owen and Rufus Ellis; her great grandchild Learthur Shelton, Jr.; her niece Doris Carter; her nephew Clayton Coppage; her great-niece Barbra Ellis; her nephew Rufus Ellis; and her daughter-in-law Ethel Ellis.
She is survived by: her son Cloyd C. Smith; her grandson-in-law Ministers Robert (Belinda Caroll); her great grandchildren, Howard Larry and William Larry; her grandchildren, Annette Milton, Clyde Smith (Angela) and Kenneth Smith (Carla); her daughter-in-law Willie Mae Smith; and her sister-in-law Josephine Carter. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; twenty-eight great-great-grandchildren; bonus children, the Ellis children; and a host of bonus grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
