He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia McClendon; and his daughter Liz McClendon. He is survived by: his daughter Lawanda Burson (Johnny); his grandchildren, Bobby Burson (Jean), Robin Burson, Allison Glenn and Brian Lee; and his great grandchildren, John Robert Burson, Brooks Burson and Trey Glenn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
