She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Stegall and Bessie Turbeville Stegall; her husband William H. "Pete" Nelson; her son Ronnie Nelson; her siblings, Hubert Stegall, George Stegall, Albert Stegall and Annie Lou Smith; and her niece Elizabeth Ann Burns.

She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Dottie Nelson; her grandchildren, Ronald Lee Nelson, Jerri Marie Nelson and Bill Nelson; her great grandchild Mandy Primm; her great great grandchildren, Ballard Lane Bennett of Smackover, Noah Dalton of Smackover, Nate Dalton of Smackover and Gracie Nelson of Smackover; and her nieces and nephews, Dolores Millican of El Dorado, Barbara Baker Hammons, Terry Stegall of Sherwood, AR and Phillip Stegall of Hot Springs, AR..
