She was predeceased by: her father Ulas Simpson; her husband Alford L. "Buddy" Brown; and her siblings, J. W. Simpson, Raymond Simpson, Hermon Simpson, William David Simpson, Michael Keith Simpson, Francis Whitaker, Sandra Bell and Sharon Simpson.
She is survived by: her children, David Brown (Becky) of Strawberry, Melinda Phillips (Anthony) of Pocahontas, Robert Brown of Strawberry, Meagan James (Aaron) of Hot Springs, Deborah Brown of Jonesboro, Karen McKay (Tim) of Cave City and Brenda Detrana (Frank) of California; and her siblings, Sue, Ronnie Bounds of Jonesboro, Robert "Bob" Simpson of Jonesboro and John Simpson of Jonesboro. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren.
