He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce; his son Alford Thomas Abney; and his granddaughter Anna Elizabeth Abney. He is survived by: his children, Mark C. Abney (Teresa) of Wilmar, Timothy E. Abney (Diana) of Sherwood, Linda G. Pierce of Sapulpa and Rebecca L. Davison (Ross) of Springdale; his daughter-in-law Peggy Abney of Star City; his siblings, Brian M. Abney of Star City and Jean Ludwig of Henderson; and his stepsisters, Gloria Levingston of Houston and Twila Thurman of La Grange. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
