He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Tatom and Ovlen Tatom; his siblings, Richard C. Tatom and Betty Collins; and his son Chad E. Tatom.
He is survived by: his wife Annette; his sons, David and Don; his stepchildren, Stephanie Lewis, Sarah Lofton and Billy Creech; his sisters, Judy Kendall (Larry) and Brenda Scroggins (late Frank); and his sister-in-law Glenda Tatom. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Donnie's honor to Wounded Warriors or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
