He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gaines and Hazel Gaines; his wife Vickie Gaines; his sister Era Nell Miller; his nephew Tony Cassel; and his brother George Gaines.
He is survived by: his children, Stacy Gaines of Benton, Tracey Reed (Chris) of Stamps, Arkansas and Steven Gaines of Cocoa Beach, Florida; his grandchildren, Hayden Halbert of Benton, Devin Halbert of Benton, Landon Halbert of Jonesboro, Baker Gaines of Benton, Arkansas and Lexi Bright of Benton, Arkansas; and his great grandchild Ashton Halbert of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Chapel (805 Thomas St, Stamps, AR 71860). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
