She was predeceased by: her mother Dianne FitzGerald (Williams); and her stepfather Thomas FitzGerald of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas.. She is survived by: her father Robert Szerlong (Margaret) of Glen Ellyn; her husband Mark Smith of Springdale; her daughter Courtney FitzGerald (Cody) of Fayetteville; her grandchildren, Oliver and Amelia Clarke of Fayetteville, Arkansas.; and her siblings, Lori Abate (Alfredo) of Elgin, Leigh Stevens (Chris) of Baytown, Michael FitzGerald (Angela) of Winterville and Thomas FitzGerald of Villa Park. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
