He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Mounce and Floella Mounce; and his siblings, Dewayne Mounce and Jeanie Walker. He is survived by: his wife Javene Mounce; his children, Sheila Mounce, Larry Mounce Jr. (April) and Brandon Garrett (Alex); his grandchildren, Amanda Porras C. J. Short, Tayler Caldera (Edgar), Skyler Royal (Caleb), Brook Garrett and Brice Garrett; his great grandchildren, Lyric Sterns, Tristan Sterns, Dallas Sterns, E. J. Caldera, Baby Royal and Wade McIntosh; and his siblings, Linda Lamar of Jonesboro, Phyllis of Jonesboro, Coleman of Jonesboro and Michael Mounce of Jonesboro. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
