He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jim Matthews and Betty Matthews of Sparkman, AR.; his father-in-law Clarence Kight (Laverne); his great grandchild Walker Ray Daniell; his wife Janice Kight Matthews; his daughters, Jo Ann Vann (Jeremy) of Sparkman and Jodie Daniell (Mike) of Arkadelphia; his sister Patsy Matthews of Arkadelphia; his grandsons, Colby of Arkadelphia, Brady of Arkadelphia and Tyler Daniell (Peytyn) of Arkadelphia; his brother Mike Vaughan (Donna) of Bearden; and his son Rob Seale (Rachel) of Sparkman.

Memorials may be made to Sparkman Cemetery, Delamar Cemetery or First Baptist Church of Sparkman.
