She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Ed Hurst and Jewel Beatrice Sloop Hurst; her husband Lewis V. Ray; her sons, John F. Ray, Sr. and Horace C. Ray; her children-in-law, Pat Ray and Roger Davis; her great grandchildren, Brittany Daniel and Jeremiah Ray; and her siblings, Carroll, Russell, Robert Lee Hurst, Maxine McElroy, Mildred Berry and Margie Pennington.
She is survived by: her children, Vernon Ray (Joyce) of Sparkman, Vanita Davis of Camden and Gary Ray (Debbie) of Sparkman. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
