She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Franklin McGhee and Birdie Thomas McGhee; her husband Ken York; and her son David Brown. She is survived by: her children, William Brown (Susan) of Solgohachia and Tonya York of Atkins; her grandchildren, Casandra Duvall, Heather Robinson, Josh Brown, Eathan McElroy, Savanah Leigh and Fealishea Brown; and her friend Gene Sledge. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other dear friends.
