He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Gipson and Cleophus Robinson Gipson; his wife Carolyn Sue Gipson; and his sister Amalou Mason. He is survived by: his sisters, Helen Gipson of Salem and Tennie Purser of Senatobia, Mississippi; and his cousins, Phil, Betty Combs, Desi Smith and Diane Bristow. He is also survived by two nieces; numerous cousins and friends.
