He is survived by: his father John Thomas Coates (Carolyn) of Cave City; his wife Cassie Coates; his son Allen Ray Coates Jr.; his siblings, John Coates Jr. (Lena) of Poughkeepsie, Bonnie Brock (David) of Cave City and Cindy Morrow (Sherry) of Sidney; and his father-in-law Curtis Rogers of Batesville. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
