Roy Garland Pumphrey Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 5, 2025, at the age of 77, Roy Garland Pumphrey of Smackover, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Opal Frances Greer Pumphrey and John Lawrence Pumphrey Sr.; his daughter Elizabeth; and his brothers, Jesse Pumphrey, John Lawrence Pumphrey Jr., Kenneth Pumphrey, Allen Pumphrey Sr. and Dale Pumphrey.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Thompson Pumphrey of Smackover; his daughters, Rhonda Brown (Billy) of Louann, Melissa Pumphrey of Mer Rouge, LA and Belinda Golden (John) of Louann; and his stepsons, Joseph Burch (Brandy) of El Dorado, Luke Burch (Barbie) of Rocky Branch, LA and Wesley Burch (Rachelle) of Mt. Holly. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home - El Dorado (400 N College Ave, El Dorado, AR 71730).
