He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Laverne Smith and Bette Jean Burton Smith; and his brothers, Willard Smith (Monte), Michael Smith (Mike) and Gordon Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Dianna Hankins Smith; his children, Robin Carr (Terry), Rhonda Padgett (Matt) and Willard Smith (Stephanie); and his sister Pat Brown (Roxanna Hall). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
