She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Mason Hale and Troy Easley Hale; her daughter Phyllis McGarrah; and her brother Dale Hale. She is survived by: her husband Sidney Gates of Sheridan; her son-in-law Danny McGarrah of Sheridan; her sister Ann Carter of Sheridan; her sister-in-law Bivian Hale of Pine Bluff; and her grandchildren, Bart McGarrah and Leann Brown. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren; nieces.
