He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Sheets and Myrtle Vaughn Sheets; his wife Thelma Sheets; his siblings, Troy Sheets, Ruthie Gardner, Ruby Goodnight, Mary Ruth Brown Bramlett, Houston Sheets and Tiny Berry; his granddaughter Jessica Marie Johnson; and his great grandchild Gabriel Lee Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Eleveta Dianna Henderson, Bonnie Cooley, Johnnie Sheets and Rose Riet; his grandchildren, Jonathan Cooley, Renee Sutterfield, Trent Cooley, Tyler Sheets, Ciara Riet, Jessie Jane Riet and Nathaniel Riet; his great grandchildren, Cori Sutterfield and Daisy Ausborn; and his siblings, Phillip Burgess, Steve Burgess, Buddy Joe Burgess, Hershel Burgess, Eddie Sheets and Linda Burgess. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
