He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Johnson and Avis Johnson (Williams); and his grandmother Ruby Williams. He is survived by: his wife Karen Johnson; his children, Jimmy Lee Johnson, II (Lisa) of Morganton, Steve Johnson of Clinton, Richie Settle (Melinda) of Brinkley, Ed Johnson of Colorado, Brandy Alexander (Lance) of Clinton and Samantha Patterson (Caleb) of Mt. Vernon; and his sisters, Barbara Bass (Ester) of Shirley and Shirley Newman (Mickey) of Clinton. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
