He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Switzer and Grace Switzer; his siblings, Lugardie Johnson, Dorothy Scott and Gene Switzer; his son Jerry Switzer; his son-in-law Eric Liedel; and his great grandchild Simon Ukestad.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Longman of Charleston, SC, Kristie Liedel of Plymouth, MI and Jeffrey Switzer (Bonnie) of Sherwood, AR; his granddaughters, Melanie Ukestad (Travis), Samantha Bushey (Samuel), Meredith Longman, Emily Liedel and Lizzy Liedel; and his great grandchildren, Oliver Bushey and Nora Ukestad.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Smith Family Funeral Home (7700 AR-107, Sherwood, AR 72120). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery (1501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72120).
