He was predeceased by: his wife Jewell Evelyn Lantrip Bakalekos; his parents, Mike Angelo Bakalekos and Mary Bakalekos; his siblings, Helen Mays, Genilee Martin and Johnny Bakalekos; and his great grandchild Jose Acosta.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mike Bakalekos and Besse Bakalekos; his children, James Bakalekos (Eva) and Debra Bakalekos Acosta (Joe); his grandchildren, Joseph, Jason, Shawn and Tisouli Acosta; his great grandchildren, Victoria, Elizabeth, Anastasia, Asher, Shawn-Will and Giovanna Acosta; and his great great grandchild Adalynn Bradshaw. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
