He was predeceased by: his parents, Lilburn Newcom and Verna Marie Newcom. He is survived by: his wife Norma F. Newcom; his children, Leslie Newcom (Pamela) and Tammie Sifford (James); and his siblings, Tommy Newcom, Curtis Newcom and Elenor Britton. He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
