He was predeceased by: his former wife Carolyn Looper Sorrells; his brothers, Bill Sorrells and Bobby Sorrells; his parents, Gus Sorrells and Flora Sorrells; and his son Joel B. Sorrells.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Sorrells; his children, Nilah Gann, Eddie Gann of Rock Hill and Carol Berry of Gravel Ridge; and his sister Martha Robinson of New Waverly, Texas. He is also survived by five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
