He was predeceased by: his father Arbie Heckman; and his son Nicky Heckman. He is survived by: his wife Sherrill of Rogers; his daughter Cori Perez (Mario) of Rogers; his grandchildren, Tyler Perez, Nicolas Heckman and Kristian Heckman; and his siblings, Twilia Haviland of Des Moines, Stanley Heckman of Colorado Springs and Vicky Ney of West Union. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
