He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Mitchell and Ruby Murray Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Anita; his children, Mitch Mitchell of Sherrill, Pam Johnson (Rusty) of White Hall and Penny Lloyd (Perry) of Elkin; his grandchildren, Brandi Wooldridge (Matt), Dusty Johnson (Allison), Cecelia Rosendahl (Tyler), Corey Moore (Ivy), Jude Lloyd, Brittany Weatherford (Barry) and Madison Mitchell; and his sister Mauricene Blackwell of Sherrill. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.
