With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Reba McCowan Emberton of Sheridan, Arkansas, born in Athens, Alabama, who passed away on September 23, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William "Cal" Emberton, Sr.; her siblings, Lester McCowan, Marvin McCowan, Sonny McCowan, Lacy Ursery, Gladys Harris, Lorene Hamley, Essie Adams, Ruth Adams and Myrtis Emberton; and her son-in-law Larry Grimes.
She is survived by: her children, Bill Emberton (Barbara) of Springfield, Missouri, Sharon Grimes of Sheridan and Charlotte (Rethel King) of Harrison; her sister Janie Johnson (Franklin) of Alabama; her son Donald Howard; and her close friend Becky Mathis Reed. She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
