She was predeceased by: her parents, Arlin Shellnut and Vivian Shellnut; her husband Loys V. Smith; her grandson Tony Murphy; and her brother Joe Shellnut.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy (Elroy Brown), Penny (Bob Tannehill) and Clay; her daughter-in-law Audrey Smith; her brother Ralph; her sister-in-law Barbara Shellnut; and her grandchildren, Kevin Murphy (Meggan), Chad Hinkle, Adam Smith (Ashley), Heather Martone (Corey) and Holly Bryant (Alex). She is also survived by several extended family and many friends.
