She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Benfield and Cora Crutchfield Benfield; her husband Dewitt Smith; and her siblings, Charles Benfield (Beunah) and Joyce Smith (Winnie Jo Croy).
She is survived by: her son Carl Gene Smith (Diane); her brother Carl Benfield (Wanda); her grandchildren, Adam Smith (Amber) of Sheridan and Brittany Moody (Justin) of Sheridan; and her great grandchildren, Lakyn, Logan and Landon. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
