It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joe May of Sheridan, Arkansas, who passed away on May 20, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends can send flowers and/or light a candle as a loving gesture for their loved one. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan May and Edna Earl May; his sisters, Pat Seymore and Betty Thornton; his children, Renata Simmons (Bill) and Mark May; and his grandson Trae Simmons.

He is survived by: his brother Bill May (Helen); his children, Tim, Jason (Amber), Aaron (Tanya), Patrick May (Michelle) and Ashley Jendrejas (Brandon); and his grandchildren, Kayla Grigg (Robert), Mattison May, Joel, Jax, Jonah Jendrejas, Britton, Silas May, Dusten, Stephan (Shilpa), Seth and Tayler Stewart. He is also survived by one great granddaughter Blakely Grigg Oh, how Grandpa loved his grandkids.

“My deepest of sympathy to Loraine and family. It is hard to put into words my feelings for Joe. Our relationship was built on trust and honesty and through time became a deep friendship. We always seemed to know what the other was thinking and rarely had disagreements. It was almost a perfect relationship. I will truly miss him as a mentor and friend. Rusty and I always enjoyed his visits for coffee. My prayers are for Joe, Loraine and family.”
