He was predeceased by: his parents, Ovid Osco Via and Rhea Glascock Via; his siblings, Betty Via Sowrheaver, Harold Via, Charles Via and J. D. Via; and his son James Chadwick Via.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tammie Travis Blake (Lyle) of Morrilton and Jennifer King (Rodney) of Rison; his grandchildren, Kurt Ellis Elms of Morrilton and Olivia Grace Valentine of Rison; his great grandchildren, Hunter Ellis Elms and Keira Elaine Elms; and his brothers, Willis Via of Star City, Jimmy Via of Star City and Jerry Via of Pine Bluff.
