He was predeceased by: his father Rudolph Earnesty; his wife Leona Crutchfield Earnesty; and his grandson Ian Weidman. He is survived by: his children, Marie Earnesty of Pennsylvania, Tracy Ricketts (Keith) of Benton and James Earnesty, Jr. of Sheridan; his brothers, Matthew Earnesty (Ann) and Vincent Earnesty (Dorothy); his grandchildren, Brian Ricketts (Kaydi), Ashley Luton (Octavious), Courtney Ricketts (Kirk) and Damien Weidman; and his great grandchildren, Skylar, Tristan, Kamron, Kingston and Henry. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
