It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dawson Wade Whitmire of Sheridan, Arkansas, who passed away on January 6, 2023, at the age of 27, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his daughter Madelyn Kate Whitmire-Shoptaw; the mother of his child Katie Shoptaw (Sheridan); his parents, Lisa Patrice (Gibbs) and Walter Lee Whitmire (Aleda); his siblings, Dawn Bearden (North Little Rock), Lindsey (Kristen), Woods (Ward), Chris (Christi), Jonathan Trey Tompkins (Little Rock), Chad Tompkins (Rector), David (Tara), Jerry Mullins (Sheridan), Christy Singleton (Sheridan), Rebecca Pate (Sheridan) and Darrell Jennings (Sheridan); his nieces and nephews, Bella Garcia, Oliver (Woods), Alyzabeth, Keaton, Ryan (Tompkins), Aubree, Katelee, Max, Nico (Whitmire) of Catherine, JJ, Landon, Logan (Mullins), Caleb, Kaylyn, Kaylee (Tompkins), Kolby, Blake (Rimmer), Karilee (Singleton), Saliah and Grace (Pate); and his grandmothers, Jean and Katie Whitmire (Sheridan). He is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
