He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester F. Simmons Sr. and Lillie Shaddox Simmons; his sisters, Patricia Bath and Alice Survilla Walker; and his nephew Benji Avery.

He is survived by: his wife Diana Dixon Simmons; and his sister Johnnie Carol Edwards of Redwater, TX.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Chester's name to Calvary Baptist Church in Sheridan.
