He was predeceased by: his parents, Theda Gibbs (Bert Gibbs II) and Bert Gibbs Jr.; his in-laws, Raymond and Dorthy George; his sister Lou Kline; his son Michael Dale Gibbs; his daughter-in-law Meliana Gibbs-Talbert; and his grandson Lee Wayman Richardson.
He is survived by: his friend Dillard; his wife Barbara Gibbs; his sons, Ron Richardson (Cindy) and Alan Gibbs (Jennifer); his sister Gloria White; his pet Peanut; and his grandchildren, Tina Goodson (Rodney), Ashley Guenther (Aric), Holly Gibbs-Logan, Austin Gibbs (Anna), Nicole Harper, Noelle Richardson (Kevin), Taylor Horton (Carter), Rylea Goodson, Norah Stimach, Mason Oliver, Lucas Logan, Kensley Richardson, Ellie, Evelyn, Edith, Esther and Clark Gibbs.
