He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hawthorne and Elizabeth Hawthorne; and his sister Catherine Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Gay; his son Mike (Leigh Anne) of Searcy; his grandson Andrew (Maegan); his great grandchild John Michael Hawthorne; his brother Stephen Hawthorne (Bonnie) of Glen Rose; and his friends, Charlie and Judy Keen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home & Cremation Services (2602 W Beebe Capps Expy, Searcy, AR 72143). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at the White County Memorial Gardens (604 Eastline Rd, Searcy, AR 72082).
