He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Cotton and Rilzy Cotton; his siblings, Pete Cotton and Hazel Bunt; his son-in-law James Rettstatt; and his grandson Cain Michael Oswald.
He is survived by: his partner Lavern Thompson of McRae; his children, Harold Cotton, Debra Kennedy and Laressa Eggert; and his sister Ester "Tootie" Walden. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Day Springs Missionary Baptist Church (4 Church St, Ward, AR 72176).
