Though Verna may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ralph and Virginia Mae Wyatt Cox; her husband George R. Payne; her son Gary L. Payne; and her sister Becky Joy Cox.
She is survived by: her children, David L. Payne (Kathy) of Judsonia and Georgia Ann Schwerdtfeger (John "JD") of Searcy; her grandchildren, Jason Payne and Tracey Gillham; and her great grandchildren, David W. and Shelby Brook Payne.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
