He was predeceased by: his wife Engel Lee Burkett; and his parents, Thomas Marion Burkett and Lillie Bell Rice Burkett. He is survived by: his daughters, Phyllis Burkett of Jonesboro, Martha Nash of Jonesboro and Susan Clinton (James) of Jonesboro.
