He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard "Leroy" Thomas, Sr. and Aileen Doris Fisher Thomas; his stepson Christopher; and his great grandchild Wiley. He is survived by: his wife Janice Thomas; his children, Allen Thomas (Ladonna) and Traci Thomas; his niece Suzette Thomas (Adela); his stepdaughter Wendy Studebaker (Royce); his grandsons, Derek Baker (Heather), Richard "Ricky" Latimer (Tiffany) and Hunter; his niece Addison Thomas (Heath); his great grandchildren, Aidan, Sophie, Atkin, Haislee, Axl, Everleigh and Waylon; and his siblings, Larry Thomas (Susan) and Rebecca Hollingshead.
Richard was a cancer survivor from 1986 and in gratitude to those who treated him and gave us an additional 37 years of life with him, the family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations to be sent in his honor to CARTI Cancer Center.
