He was predeceased by: his father William Marshall Stephens; his former wife Alma Stephens; his mother Pauline Stephens; his son Robert Stephens; his stepdaughters, Diane Cook and Debbie Gallagher; and his brothers, Ralph Stephens (Skipper) and Robert Stephens (Bobby).
He is survived by: his wife Karen Foshee Churchwell Stephens of Searcy, Arkansas; his daughter Cheryl Pierce of Dallas, Texas; his daughter-in-law Elsie Stephens; his stepchildren, Kelly (Gene Provost), Karrin (Mike Jozwiak), Linda (Steve McIntosh), Jimmy, Vangie Churchwell of Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas and Troy (Lisa Churchwell); and his stepson-in-law Mike Cook of Michigan. He is also survived by Six grand children, five great grandchildren, and twelve step-grandchildren.
