She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Clay and Tellie A. Clay; her husband Roy Neal Showalter; her siblings, Glen J. Clay, Howell G. Clay, Wilma L. Holeman and Audrey A. Joyce; and her granddaughter Caroline I. Showalter.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Showalter DeLay (John) of Midlothian, Texas and Roy Lynn Showalter (Nancy) of Searcy; her siblings, Kenneth M. Clay of Searcy, Darrell G. Clay of Searcy, Billy J. Clay (Alison) of Savannah, Georgia and T. Lucille Clay Carter of Searcy; and her grandchildren, Parker Showalter (Jessica), Connor Brown, JT DeLay, Anna Claire Showalter, Megan Edwards, Samantha Villasenor and Ryan Young. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the organization Allene supported, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
