She was predeceased by: her siblings, James Roland Massey and Pearly Ann Chambers (Nathan). She is survived by: her children, Thomas Andrew Simmons, James Arnold Simmons (Rachel), Roberta Lynn Simmons, Viola Simmons Scott (Nick) and Rachel Marie Simmons Romine (Mark); and her brother Monroe Lafate Massey. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
