She was predeceased by: her former husband Hugh Groover; her daughter Dena Leasure; her parents, O. C. Horne and Bessie Horne of Lubbock; and her siblings, Laura Emery (Lee), Julia Johnson (Bob), Carl Horne (Naomi), Leland Horne (Margie), Virginia McDonald (Bo), Ellen Storrs (Sam) and Francis Bonner (Bob).
She is survived by: her husband Coach Groover; her daughter Penny Petway of Beebe; and her grandchildren, Audra Jones (Jason), Aaryn McCosh (Jeremy), Jamie Powell (Shannon) and Darrin Leasure (Ginny). She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Camp Wyldewood in Searcy or The Dena Leasure Scholarship for Art at Harding University.
