Lewis Erwin Yingling Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lewis Erwin Yingling (Searcy, Arkansas), born in Harrison, Arkansas, who passed away on April 4, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Osco and Hettie Yingling (Dot Munger Yingling); his son Phillip Yingling; his wife Helen McLeod Yingling; and his siblings, Wanda Jackson, Robert Yingling, Dorothy Arnold, James Yingling and Kathryn Meadows.

He is survived by: his sons, Dewitt Yingling of Beebe and J. D. Yingling (Kim) of Searcy; and his grandchildren, Sebastian Yingling of Little Rock, Christina Yingling of Little Rock, Kevin Yingling of St. Paul, Trent Yingling of Little Rock and Derek Yingling of Searcy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Yingling Family Scholarship Fund for students majoring in Bible and Ministry at Harding University.

“Lewis was such a big part of my earlier years of growing up in North Little Rock - Sylvan Hills area. Our families enjoyed so many good times together our trips to Florida when we were younger and more. He was a leader and compassionate man and a joy to be around. My mother loved his sweet spirit and enjoyed their phone conversations every few months. We mourn his life but know he is home with the Lord renewing his relationship with his son Phillip, His Wife Dot, and all the family and friends that have preceded him. Our Thoughts are with the Yingling family at this time. Ben & Freda Sims”
