He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Smith and Noma Cherry Smith; his wife Mabel Ruth Smith; his siblings, Naron Smith, Lois Ray, Chloe Stahle, Leda Burns and Iva Crosby; and his great grandchild Zee Lyn Norman.
He is survived by: his sons, Gary Smith (Rena) of Searcy and Jimmy Smith (Julia) of Searcy; his grandchildren, Kyle McDoniel (Ann) of California, Bridget Clevenger (Brad) of New Mexico, Khara O'Connell (Brian) of Fayetteville, Clint Smith (Melissa) of Benton, Ben Smith (Natasha) of Searcy and Angie Norman (Kyle) of Clay; and his great grandchildren, Max, Kate McDoniel, Aiden, Mia Clevenger, Emmett, Gracie O'Connell, Kyler, Jax, Kodi Norman and Zeb Smith.
